Little Things Remembered
is a collection of stories about life, love, and cultural identity. The book is filled with insightful observations about family and parenting, and the ups and downs of life.
Leaving Cuba at a young age and immigrating to the United States with her family, the author was faced with having to learn
new customs and a new language. Her parents’ positive attitude and their determination to succeed in this country taught her how to deal with adversity.
The book is divided into four sections:
- Section One: “Learning From Life” has stories about faith, and finding happiness regardless of
the circumstances you find yourself in. “Life is too precious to waste and too wonderful not to experience fully.”
- Section Two: “A Mother’s Love” contains stories about motherhood and the overwhelming
responsibility, and unconditional love a mother feels for her children.
- Section Three: “Lesson’s in Love” is filled with stories about the love you feel for your
spouse, for your parents, your grandparents, and the importance these relationships have on your life.
- Section Four: “The Cuban in Me” describes the experiences of a Cuban immigrant and the
importance of teaching your children to be proud of their heritage by embracing their culture.
